Saying bye to some GREAT friends

(Kathy, me, and Brooke)

This week at work we lost two amazing women! Kathy started like two weeks before I did. She was our patient care coordinator at the front. She is from Russelville and with gas prices going up and illness decided to find a job close to home. She was truly the strongest christian women I know. She would do anything for anybody and you would never catch her in a bad mood. She always used to tell me that I reminded her of her when she was my age. If I could live up to be half the women she was I would be a lucky person. Kathy I am going to miss you so much!

(Kellie and I)

Kellie came to the Dental Office in June of 07. She just graduated from UAMS as a Dental Hygienist. Her and I have spent a lot of time together in the past year. Always going to lunch together. I was lucky to have her at work for a while. She is one of the nicest people I have meet. We enjoyed each others company in and out of work. Her and Gracie were great buddies to. Kellie came to some of my softball games last fall to play with Gracie while I played. She is getting married next month to Derek in Walnut Ridge (where they are from). Soon after that in August will be moving to St. Louis. Derek is going to school to be a chiropractor. I wish them nothing but luck!! Jimmy, Gracie, and I are going to miss you guys!! This week was so sad. On a different note we have been swamped with patients for the past three weeks. With school letting out it is only going to get more busy for me. During the summer and around holidays I am slammed with cleanings since kids are out of school. Its going to be a very busy summer.

Fishin and a pet snake

We went fishing today, and didn't have much luck. Paw caught a grass snake!! We killed a bad snake and caught one turtle and one fish. Dad found the snake in the yard I guess. I was walking up and I freaked like "why are you letting the girls play with that snake" I didn't know it doesn't bite. Sydney said she didn't like how it wraps around your arm. Gracie cried when they had to let it go. After that we headed to the pond and found a not so nice snake under the boat. Jimmy isn't the best snake wrangler. Man was it hilarious to see him dancing around trying to get it. After it got away three times..... finally it was safe to fish.

Young family 1st annual camping trip

We went camping this weekend! It was Gracie's first time so we went close in case she didn't like it. I roasted some marsh mellows with Grace but she wouldn't eat them. haha. I like them burned, she just didn't understand that. We had all kinds of visitors. CiCi, Clint, Penny, Mollie (Penny and Mollie are the dogs) GiGi, Papaw, Mimi, Brooke, James and Jade! wow. We had fun playing basketball with ya'll Brooke. I did some fishing and didn't catch a thing. We grilled some shrimp, salmon, and boneless ribs. It was so much fun. Gracie was ready to get home to her bed though. She just played so hard!! she was wore out. We are planing a float trip with Brooke and James in June without the girls. I'm looking forward to it! Oh and Clint (my cousin) found a baby turtle for Gracie. Her name ended up being Tina Turtle. She stayed with us the entire time and then we let her go home to "see her mommy" before we left.

Toad Suck Daze

Toad suck this year was soooo busy!! We had the concert Friday night, Saturday morning we had the pageant. We did OK for it being our first. Gracie got third runner up and Miss photogenic. It was so stressful in the back while we waited!! Moms and crying kids everywhere not to mention the pageant lady's yelling for people to get ready.... gosh I'm glad its over. We went out to ride some rides after we were done (Gracie's fav. part). It was so hot and crowded we left and went back that night for some mud bugs!! YUM we had lots of fun!

The concert pictures

Well camping for nine hours was very much worth it!! When we got there Blake was just standing there it was amazing. We got to watch the warm up. It was like a little private show. KSSN gave me a backstage pass!! I got to meet Blake Shelton!! It was the neatest thing EVER!!!!!! I got to take a picture with him and they gave me this picture of him I got signed. I also got an autographed cowboy hat, tank top, and guitar pick. It was so much fun. We got to be on y107 (me and autumn), and spent some time in Mikes Place keeping cool. Gracie was with us for about the first 3 hours. Blake was smiling and waving at her but she didn't care and just hid her face. We had an absolute amazing time and had the best seats in the place!! front and center!! I got so many great pictures I decided to make a slide show. Enjoy :)
