In loving memory of Ben

Four years ago yesterday my brother Ben was shot, and four years ago today he went to be with the lord. The past four years have been very hard for me. Im sure that the next four will be just as hard. The person that took his life is still leading a free life. That makes it just a little bit harder. Yesterday Gracie, GiGi, and I went to the cemetary to take some flowers. One thing I wish more than anything is that Gracie would have been able to know her uncle. He would have loved her! Baby Bladen is here

Well finally after 9 long months our good friends Nicole and Gary had there precious baby boy Bladen. He weighed 7lbs. 10oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. He arrived around 3pm on August the 22nd. I was hoping that he and I would share the same birthday.

Lazy day

I'm off on Fridays so our day doesn't really consist of much. When we woke up today we cleaned Gracie's room and the rest of the apartment. Gracie was in her room and was supposed to be watching The Wizard of Oz. I went to check on her and this is what I found! So the cleaning we did today didn't really do much good.

Fun filled Saturday

We decided last weekend to go to Chuck E. Cheese. Gracie and Jimmy have never been. We had pizza and watched the stage. Gracie really didn't know what to think about it. We played tons of games and had so much fun. After that we took the girls to the mall to go shopping. It was such a long day! Sydney was so ready to come home because she wanted to go swim. We went out to the pool for a little bit and MiMi came over. We had both girls jumping off the side (by themselves) Sydney could doggy paddle for a minute but got scared and would just stop.... but she can swim. Gracie can't touch so she has to use a life jacket. She is just know getting used to floating around the pool. They are so much fun!

Since Sydney has been to Chuck E. Cheese before we decided to take her for a manicure before heading to LR. She said next time she wants them to paint flowers on her nails.

Family update

We are doing real good. Gracie is growing like a weed. She is really turning into a little person. She makes me laugh everyday, thats for sure. Sydney is about to start school! She will be in first grade this year. It is so hard do believe. She is such a smart and sweet little girl. Gracie has been trying to push her around, so we have been having problems there. Sydney does real good with her though and stays patient. I love my girls so much! Jimmy is working for the railroad agian. It gets hard sometimes, but we are both very strong people. I think he enjoys the work, but I know he gets home sick from time to time. I am still working for Dr. Clark. I am enjoying that. All the girls I work with are real nice. We are going to be expanding our office due to a death of a dentist here in town....so I will have to let you know how that goes. I hope everybody enjoys reading what is going on in our lives and I would love to read you comments!
